          DEATH TAKES ADELL KETCHUM
   Mrs. Adell M Ketchum, age 87, of 810 First Ave., Lake Odessa, died Thursday
evening, March 23, 1978 at St. Lawrence Hospital, Lansing where she had been a patient 
for two weeks.  She had been a resident of Provincial House, Hastings since November, 1971.
   Mrs. Ketchum was born December 3, 1890 in Indiana and was the daughter of Henry
and Rose Violet.  She married James Ketchum in Ionia Co..  They farmed in the Lake Odessa 
area until moving into the village in 1955.
   Mrs. Ketchum is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lester (Delliah) Bowen of
Ionia, Mrs Eli (Bette) Casillas of Grand Ledge and Mrs. Dorothy Fuller of Arizona;  five sons, 
Elmer of Farwell, Herbert of Pontiac, Arthur of Mason, Keith of Plainwell and Harold of 
California;  one sister, Jennie Skibowshi of Lake Orion;  30 grandchildren and 30 great 
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Leo.
   Funeral services were held Monday, March 27 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel,
Lake Odessa with Rev. Chalmer officiating.  Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
