Ketchum, 73, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening at her rural home on Jordan Lake Highway, where she had resided the past seven weeks. She was born July 27, 1896, at Springport, daughter of Melvin and Blanche Burns and married Lloyd Ketchum Dec. 27, 1919 at Lake Odessa. They had lived most of their married life in Lansing, moving to Cedarville 10 years ago and had spent their winters in Florida. Mr. Ketchum was affiliated with the A&P Tea Co.. A member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter of Cedarville, she attended the Peoples Church there and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society. She was a former employee of the Horner Woolen Mills at Eaton Rapids. Surviving are her husband; a sister, Mr. Alva (Bessie) Tingley of Lake Odessa, and a brother, Harold Burns of Grand Ledge. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman and Rev. Sherwood Durkee of Winona Lake, Ind. officiated with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
