                          Norene May Ketchum

PLAINFIELD, IL-Norene May Ketchum, age 93 a resident of Plainfield, IL. since 
2013 and formerly a longtime resident of Iona, MI, passed away peacefully on 
November 30, 2022 at Harbor Chase memory Care following a courageous battle with 
Alzheimer's Disease. She was born February 22, 1929 in Saranac, MI to Jesse and 
Beulah Parker. Norene is fondly remembered for the kindness and generosity she 
extended to everyone she encountered.

Norene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Merrell 
A.Ketchum II. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Kerry) Allen II of 
Tuscaloosa, AL; her grandchildren, Stefanie (Quinn Supplee) Allen, Daniel 
(Trista) Allen, Jenna (Anthony) Margentina, Reid (Tara) Ketchum and Morgan 
(Evan) Massey; and er great-grandchildren Zoe, Olivia, Violet, Camille, Teagan 
and Cade.

She was the sister of the late Joyce Scheurer and Uldene North.

Norene was employed by the Ionia County District Court for many years. She was a 
member of and taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church of Ionia. She 
enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards, sewing, spending time with family and 
friends and listening to Barbara Streisand and Johnny Mathis records. She loved 
Christmas and was an excellent baker and cook.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Harbor 
Chase of Plainfield Memory Care as well as Gentiva Hospice. Their 
professionalism and personal dedication to Norene's care has been exceptional 
and was a blessing to the family. For those who would like to leave a lasting 
tribute, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 
North Michigan Avenue, Fl.17, Chicago,IL. 60601, alz.org, 800-272-3900.

A private memorial servcie will be held for immediate family.
