He was born in Portland Jan. 15, 1925 the son of Edward and Helena (Schmit) Keusch, Sr. Mr. Keusch was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a member of the Portland Knights of Columbus Council #2168, as well as a member of the Elks. Bud served as Mayor Pro Tem, served on the City Council, worked as a volunteer firefighter and worked summers after his retirement for the City of Portland. He loved bowling, shuffleboard, cleaning, playing cards and going to bingo. Bud was a hard worker who also took great pride in growing geraniums and decorating for the holidays. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Claudia; brother, Tom Keusch, Sr.; sister, Marge Hogan. Surviving are his wife, Zondra Keusch of Portland; daughter, Linda (Tom) Senopole of Troy; grandchildren, Amanda, Chelsea and Rachel; sister, Winifred Kortes of Florida; brother, Charles (Marion) Keusch of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 23 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland, with the Rev. Larry King, Pastor presiding. Rite of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Schrauben- Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. Contributions may be made to the Portland Fire Department or to the Father Flohe Foundation.
