Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Feb 1983

Helena. G. Keusch, 91, of 220 Church St., Portland, died Sunday in Ionia 
Manor.  Born August 17, 1891, she was the daughter of Jacob and Anna Rocka 
Schmit.  Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death in 1961.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas and Edward (Bud), both of Portland, and 
Charles of Mort Meyers, Fla.; and one daughter, Mrs. Winnifred Kortes of Alma; 
13 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.

Rosary service will be held Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home.  
Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 
Portland, the Rev. Donald Weber officiating.  Burial will be in Portland 
Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Richard, Thomas Jr., Thomas III, Douglas and 
Michael Keusch and Daniel Schneider.
