Keusch of Lake City, Fl. and also Three Rivers, MI, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born on November 28, 1926 in Portland, MI, the son of Edward and Helena (Schmidt) Keusch. Mr. Keusch was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, was a Lifetime Member of the V.F.W., member of the American Legion Post #48 in Grand Ledge, MI, and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Schoolcraft, MI. Charles worked for Peake Electric in Portland, MI, owned and operated Keusch's General Store in Langston, MI, and retired from Bank of America in Ft. Myers, FL, where he worked as a maintenance man. Charles resided in the summer at Klines Resort in Three Rivers, MI, and in the winter at Eastsick Village in Lake City, FL. Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings, Thomas Keusch, Edward Keusch Jr., Marjorie Hogan; grandson, Colby Keusch. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Marion Keusch; children, Douglas (Inez) Keusch of Three Rivers, MI, Mike (special friend, Marlene) Keusch of Portland, and Charlotte (Ed) Dennared of Lake City, FL; sister, Winifred Kortes of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Douglas Keusch Jr. of Alachua, FL, Kurt (Amy) Keusch of Vista, CA, April (Tim) Paraschos of Grand Blanc, MI, Amy (Jameel) Abdo of Grand Ledge, MI, Shaun Keusch of Denver, CO, Amber (Chad) Drake of Cartersville, IL, Todd (Charlene) Redish of Live Oak, FL, and Angie (Tim) Williamson of Lake City, FL, 9 great grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. A Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
