She came with her parents from the state of Vermont to Woodland, Mich. in 1846. On Dec. 12 in the year 1849 she married Wm. Kibby. To them were born five children. Mrs. Kibby was one in a family of 10 children and the eighth one to depart this life. Two brothers survive her: viz. Stephen Ingerson of Nashville, Mich. and Seymour Ingerson of Roberts Wis. Her husband was of those who left home for the Civil War never to return. He died in 1863 in Nashville, Tenn. Only three of her children survive their mother namely Mrs. Effie Cox of Lyons, Mich.; Mrs. Ada Hiar of Lake Odessa and Harvey Kibby of San Antonia, Texas so that two brothers, two daughters, one son, ten grand children and one great grand child remain to mourn her death. After a prolonged illness of two years and of much suffering she sweetly fell asleep in death. About 1887 she joined the Methodist church where she held her membership till the time of her death. The funeral was held at M.E. Church, Saturday, at 2 p.m., October 6, 1906, conducted by the pastor Rev. Cook.
