Harriett Louise Kidd, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Kidd, died at her parents' home, 483 East Washington street, shortly before noon Thursday. She had been suffering from a heart ailment the past (??) years during the last two of when she had been critically ill. Mr. Kidd is editor and publisher of the Ionia Sentinel-Standard. Harriet, in spite of the early curtailment of her school studies and immediate confinement to her parents' home, had gained a wide circle of acquaintances, both among youngsters and adults. Her illness resulted from recurrent attacks of inflammatory rheumatism that left her heart in a weakened condition. She fought valiantly to regain her health, but the fight was uphill all the way and she was unable to conquer the malady. Surviving besides Mr. and Mrs. Kidd are Frederick, Jr., her brother and Kathleen, a younger sister. Funeral services will be conducted from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Mark L. Marshall, of Lansing, officiating. Interment will be made at Highland Park cemetery.
