Kidder, 14, of Mason, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ball-Dunn Funeral Home, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Aurelius Township. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E. Kidder, former residents of Lake Odessa, Rickey was killed late Saturday night when the car in which he was riding spun out of control on Columbia Road, rolled over four times and struck a telephone pole, Ingham sheriff’s deputies reported. Ricky’s older brother, Gary, 16, Ernest R. Phillips, 17, and Michael J. Larkins, 16, driver of the car, escaped with minor injuries. Deputies reported Larkins lost control of his car as he came out of an “S-curve” on Columbia Road near College Road. He skidded through the westbound College Road intersection, went off the south side of Columbia Road and rolled over sideways four times before the left rear side of the car struck a telephone pole, they said. Besides his parents, Ricky is survived by two sisters, Teri Lynn and Pamela J., both at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen E. Kidder of Woodland and Delbert Burton of Mason.
