Henry Kiel, in an Ann Arbor hospital, last night has been received here. Mr. and Mrs. Kiel were residents of Center street. It is reported that the cause of death was sleeping sickness. No further word has been received regarding the death here today. The funeral announcement will be made later. Subsequent Publication: Saturday, August 19, 1922 The funeral for Mrs. J. Henry Kiehl will be held from the residence, 321 Center street, Sunday afternoon, at 1 o’clock. Rev. C. Reed Taylor will officiate. Burial will take place in Highland park cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Monday, August 21, 1922 The funeral for Mrs. J. Henry Kiehl was held from the late family residence, 321 Center street, Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Rev. C. Reed Taylor officiated. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The bearers were Hugh Robinson, Homer Cook, Lawrence Hale and Claude Estep of the Hale Milling company and Harry Burtch and William Trew. The music was furnished by Mrs. Walker with Miss Irene Buckley at Walkin with Miss Irene Buckley at the piano. Burial took place in Highland park cemetery. Those here from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. George Brown, Harold Brown and Katherine Brown, all of Detroit, Mrs. J. S. Woodrith and daughter, Mrs. Grisson, of Howell, Mrs. C. H. Culver and daughters, Helen Culver and Mrs. Beet and Miss Taylor, all of Howell. Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Woodrith and Mrs. Culver were sisters of Mrs. Kiehl. Other relatives from away were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Kiehl and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Townsend, of Brighton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kiehl, Miss Mary Kiehl and Miss Kattie all of Ann Arbor, and Miss Flora Chance, of Chelsie.
