Excerpts from Lansing Obituary

                             Marilyn Kiel
Died February 22, 2022-age 85 at St.Johns.
Born September 9, 1936 in Portland Daughter of Bernard and Mary (Gross) Platte.
Graduated from Portland St.Patrick High School and married Gordon Kiel on Oct. 
6, 1956.
Together they loved to shop for antiques, play cards and vacation in northwest 
Michigan's Otter Lake  with their three children.
Married for 56 years and he preceded her in death, April 22, 2013.
Survivors are her children; Lee Ann Lawrence of Lansing, Brian & Mary Kiel of 
west Chicago,& Chris and Jennifer Kiel of St.Johns; grandchildren; Zachary, 
Samantha, Caitlin, Mikaela, Marianne, Seth, Victoria (Andre) McDuffey, Elizabeth 
(Andrew) Rogers, Jessie, Emily (Tyler) Malkin, and Hunter; great-granddaughters, 
Audrey Lawrence, Lilyanna Lawrence and Nora McDuffey; great grandson, Tucker 
Malkin; and siblings Lee, Julius, Laura Stegenga, Paul and Steve.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, her parents, siblings, Herb, Stan and 
Alice M Causey.
Her first job was working for Michigan Bell and then provided home child care.
Her last job was a supervisor in the bindery department for Spartan Printing.
She loved worshiping the Lord & was a member of the St.Isidore catholic Church 
in Laingsburg.
A Memorial mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 11 a.m. at St.Isidore Catholic 
Church, Laingsburg.
A luncheon will follow at the church
Donations may be made to the Church or St.Vincent de Paul.
