Sept. 7, 2013 Belding- Naomi Ione Kilborn, 92, of Belding, passed away at Fountain View Assisted Living Center of Lowell on Aug. 31. She was being cared for by her loving family along with the great staff at Fountain View and Hospice of Michigan. Naomi was born on Dec. 18, 1920, in Belding, the daughter of George and Blanche (Hotchkiss) Chickering, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Belding High School and later married Rollo Kilborn on May 3, 1939. The couple enjoyed 71 years of marriage prior to his death in 2010. Naomi helped with the family farm and the family hardware business they owned. She also worked for Belding Savings and Loan, Gibson Refrigeration and served as a Secretary to the Superintendent at Belding Area Schools for 18 years. Naomi loved to read and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Naomi's family would like to thank the many people who visited and offered many acts of kindness during Naomi's stay at Fountain View, especially her brother and sister-in-law, George and Marjorie Chickering, her nephew George Chickering and family friend, Fred Bowen. They would also like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Fountain View for the exceptional care and comfort provided to Rollo and Naomi during their stays there. Naomi is survived by her loving children, Gary Kilborn of Ionia, Gayle (Arlene) Kilborn of Conneaut, Ohio and Nancy ( Carter) Huffman of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Cathy (Wes) Cordova of Arlington, Va., Rob Kilborn of Dallas, Texas, Melinda (Michael) Schwartz of Princeton, N.J., and Andrew (Nicole) Huffman of Hudsonville; great-grandchildren, Joshua Cordova, Elijah Cordova, Samantha Cordova, Adriana Huffman and Andrew Carter Huffman Jr.; a brother, George (Marjorie) Chickering of Fenwick; several nieces and a nephew. Private interment will take place at Rest Haven Memory Gardens near Belding. Those wishing to express sympathy are welcomed to consider a contribution in Naomi's memory to the Alvah N.
