James Kilborne, aged 81 years, passed away at his home south of this city 
Monday afternoon at about 3 o’clock, following a long illness which was caused 
by old age.  Mr. Kilborne was a pioneer of this section of the country and had 
never married.  He had been cared for for a number of years by Mr. and Mrs. Eli 
Hanks.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock from 
the home, with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and burial will be in the old 
Belding cemetery.
