The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 12, 1886

Carson Kilduff died Feb. 1, 1886, at the age of 16.  He was a son of Martin 
and Matilda Kilduff, one of the noblest and gentlemanly young men in this 
city; always trusty, honest and upright in any place that his employer put 
him.  I regret, as one of the neighbors, to have such a dear boy as Carson to 
be taken away from us.  His parents’ grief at the loss of such a dear boy is 
beyond my power to describe.
