On March 1, 1881, she was united in marriage to Edward Kilduff at St. John’s church at Hubbardston by the Rev. Fr. DeSmit. Mr. Kilduff passed away April 1, 1907. Mrs. Kilduff spent her entire life in the vicinity of Carson City and Hubbardston with the exception of a few years of early married life spent in northern Michigan and some years recently with her daughter in Ionia. Early in life she became an active member of her church and its societies, to which she gave untiringly of her time and zeal, being affiliated with the Altar Society of St. Mary’s, Carson City, and later with the Rosary Society and St. Anthony’s Guild of SS. Peter and Paul, Ionia. She was also a member of the Lady Maccabees. In her home life she was the ideal of a true Christian wife and mother and her ever present smile and kindly word endeared her to all. She had enjoyed a lifetime of good health and only within the past year had she been unable to be active. Death came to her Sept. 4th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Grace, near Carson City. Funeral services took place Friday, Sept. 7, from St. Mary’s church. Reverend Fr. P. A. O’Toole sang the High Mass. Bearers were H. R. Dickinson, Jerry Dwyer, Nicholas Grace, Richard Kane, Terrence Quinn and Patrick Beahan. Friends from Lansing, Mt. Pleasant, St. Johns and Ionia were in attendance at the service, which was one of the largest ever held from St. Mary’s. Surviving are the children, Mrs. Wm. McGunn and Edward Kilduff of Ionia, Mrs. Thomas Grace of Carson City, a brother, John Hogan, and a sister, Mary Hogan, seven grandchildren and a niece, Mrs. Otto Remus of Lansing.
