She has been a patient there 23 days for a heart operation. Mrs. Kimball was born September 9, 1906, the daughter of Henry and Alice Knight Kendall, in the house on Struble road where she spent her entire life. She was graduated from Muir high school, and married Ralph Kimball on July 31, 1927. Her death also marked the anniversary of the Kimball’s 40th years of marriage. Mrs. Kimball attended Olivet College, and earned her teaching certificate from Western Michigan University. She taught one year at Dearfield, three years at New Hudson, and eight years in Muir elementary schools. The lifelong Muir resident was a member of Muir Presbyterian church and of the women’s organization. She was also a past worthy matron of Evergreen chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Lyons. Mrs. Kimball is survived by her husband Ralph, her son Donald of rural Muir, a daughter, Mrs. Caroline Kasdorf of Lansing, and eight grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 2 pm in the Muir Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Manson Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Muir cemetery. The body will be at Shaw- Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir until noon Friday. A memorial fund is being established for Muir Presbyterian church. Contributions should be left at Shaw-Rivett-Hull home.
