Ionia Shopper's Guide - Saturday April 3, 2021

KIMBALL
Joanne Julia Kimball age 82, of Lyons passed away March 29, 2021. She was born 
November 15, 1938 in Hubbardston, Michigan the daughter of Edgar and Julia 
(McKeone) Stoddard. Joanne married Stephen Kimball August 23, 1958 in 
Hubbardston.

Surviving Joanne are her husband of 62 years, Stephen of Lyons; children, 
Stephen E. (Linda) Kimball of East Lansing, Mark Kimball of Lyons and Liane 
Kimball of Ionia; grandchildren, Tae Won Kimball and Si Yun Kimball of East 
Lansing; brother, Jack Stoddard of Hubbardston; sisters Mary Caris of Hastings 
and Helen Stoddard of St.Johns and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Allen, Elton, Robert,Harold, 
Eugene, Lester, Clarence and Donald and sister Patricia. Joanne was a long time 
member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. She loved country music. Joanne 
enjoyed time with her family, friends and neighbors especially at the Lumber 
Mill Inn in Muir. She was proud of her Irish heritage.

The family would like to extend its appreciation to Delise, Julie, Alana and 
Megan and all of the McLaren Hospital Staff who worked so hard to care and 
provide comfort to Joanne in her final hours.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St.Joseph catholic Church in 
Pewamo Monday, April 5 2021 at 11:00 a.m with Father Darrel Kempf officiating. 
Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Saturday April 3rd 1-3 
and 5-7 p.m with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to St.Joseph Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made at
