Ionia County News, 13 Apr 1950

Mrs. Maude Kimball, 72, of Muir, died suddenly Easter Sunday evening at the home
of her sister, Mrs. E.G. Carpenter, in Greenville.  Mr. and Mrs. Kimball had
been spending the day with the Carpenters.  Mrs. Kimball was born in Trufant,
Nov. 25, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hathaway.  She had been a
resident of Muir since 1942.

Surviving are the husband; a son, Kenneth G. Kimball, of Hamilton, Ohio; a
daughter, Vera Kay, of Dearborn; one grandson; one great-grandson; two sisters,
Mrs. E.G. Carpenter of Greenville and Mrs. W.D. Roberts of Flint; two brothers,
Claude Hathaway of Coral and Orie Hathaway of Lapeer.

Funeral service was from the Muir Presbyterian Church Wednesday afternoon.  Rev.
Paul Stewart officiated.  Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Muir.
