Howard Kimball, 84, died Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Ionia County Memorial hospital, where she had been a patient four days. Born March 26, 1874 in Clinton county, she was the daughter of Cyrus D. and Eva Millard. She was married to H. Howard Kimball December 14, 1898 in the Presbyterian church in Muir and they lived on the old Kimball homestead east of Lyons until 1904, when they moved to the Wagar farm near Pewamo. In 1923 the Kimballs moved to 436 East Main street in Ionia, where they lived until Mr. Kimball’s death February 4, 1957. After his death, Mrs. Kimball made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Robert J. Smith of 255 West Riverside drive. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert J. Smith of South Ionia and Mrs. Carle Beck of Crystal; four sons, Frank of Charlotte, Ralph of Muir, Howard Jr. of Lansing and Floyd of Port Huron; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Boynton’s funeral home. The Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiated. Interment was at Oakwood cemetery, Muir. Bearers were Mrs. Kimball’s four sons, Donald Kimball and Carle Beck.
