Kimmel, 68, died at 1 a.m. Monday at his home on route three. He was born February 17, 1894 in Roxanne township, Eaton county, the son of Cyrus and Mary Bennett Kimmel. Mr. Kimmel spent most of his life in Eaton county and moved to Lake Odessa from Mulliken 12 years ago. He retired several years ago as inspector at Ionia Manufacturing company. Surviving are his wife, Beulah to whom he was married in 1913; four daughters, Mrs. Henry (Dawn) Cramer of Mulliken Mrs. Damon (Mary Jane) McClelland of Woodland, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Hammond of Springport, and Mrs. Max (Janet) Haney of Lake Odessa; one son, Robert Kimmel of Lake Odessa, one brother, Bert Kimmel of Nashville; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Service will be at Pickens funeral chapel Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with burial at Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. Max Ovenshire, pastor of Pleasant Valley United Brethren church, will officiate.
