Lake Odessa Wave - July 3, 1969
          CHARLES KIMMEL PASSES AWAY

   Charles Kimmel, 86, retired farmer on Tupper Lake Rd., passed away last Wednesday
evening at the 
Osteopathic Hospital, Grand Rapids, where he was a patient two weeks.

   He was born June 6, 1883 in Sebewa township, the son of amos and Rosa (Furlong)
Kimmel and was a 
lifelong resident of the area.  He married Lynette Clark in 1915, who survives; also
a son Dean of Lake Odessa; 
two daughters, Mrs. Emerson (Phyllis) Lehman of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Stanley (Iris)
Jackson of Sunfield; 
two grand children and six great grand children.

   Funeral services were held at 3:30 Saturday  at the Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev.
Marvin Zimmerman 
officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
