Patricia Alice Mason Knickerbocker, 67, of Vermontville, formerly of Belding 
and Greenville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, September 5, 2004 in 
the emergency room at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, 
Greenville.  The daughter of Ralph John and Edna May Smith Mason, she was born 
March 26, 1937, in Ionia.  

On December 22, 1994, in Wisconsin, she married James Knickerbocker.  Pat 
deeply loved all her family and also enjoyed gardening.  She was an excellent 
cook and had a sense of humor that she passed on to her children.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Knickerbocker; three daughters and two sons-
in-law, Lisa (Travis) and Tim Hibbard of Pinckney, Angela Jean (Travis) Crouch 
of Belding, Aimee Sue (Travis) and Steven Barley of Grandville; son and 
daughter-in-law, Kevin and Darci Travis of Nashville; two sisters, Lola and Ed 
Brooks of Fenwick, JoAnn Bauer of Greenville; two brothers, Bob and Ellen Mason 
of Maston Lake, Marvin and Ellen Mason of Greenville; five siblings-in-law; 
eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday t Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 
Greenville with the Rev. Kendall Harger, associate pastor of Shiloh Community 
Church , officiating.  Cremation will follow the service in Myrtle Park 
Crematorium, Rockford.  Envelopes for memorial contributions to the American 
Cancer Society are available at the funeral home, where the family will receive 
relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
