Ionia Sentinel – Wednesday, 12 July 1922

Edward H. King, for more than half a century a resident of Ionia, passed away 
Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. A. Tower, 242 
Lafayette Street, after an illness of several weeks.  Mr. King was born at 
Pointe Byron, N. Y., February 16, 1833 and at the time of his death was 89 
years old.

Mr. King married Miss Jennie Grosvenor, of Pennsylvania, who died a number of 
years ago.  He came to Michigan in 1855 and at one time was in the United 
States land office here.  He also was interested in the elevator business here 
for many years as a member of the firm, W. C. Page & Company.

Mr. King was a democrat in polities.  The funeral will be held from the 
residence of his daughter, Mrs. F. A. Tower, Thursday afternoon at 2:30.  Rev. 
A. R. Mitchell will officiate.  Burial will take place in Highland Park 
Cemetery.
