Mrs. King was born in New York state and would have celebrated her 98th birthday March 27. She was one of the oldest settlers of Sebewa township coming here from New York state soon after her marriage and operating a general store in Sunfield later transferring to Lyons then to Crystal where Mr. King died. Mrs. King was a life member of Sunfield Rebekahs and a member of the Congregational church at Sunfield. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Luella Ross of Lansing and Mrs. Flora Bottomley of Sebewa, five grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held from the Bera Mates funeral home Sunfield, at 2:30 o’clock Thursday, and burial in Lyons.
