Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kendall, who came to the vicinity of Pewamo from Massachusetts when Mrs. King was a six-month-old baby and soon afterwards located on the farm now the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gardner. This was 64 years ago when the entire vicinity north of Muir was a densely wooded area. This immediate vicinity has always been the home of Mrs. King. A few months ago her own little home burned down and she and her husband went to the home of their son, their only child to live. Here every comfort was given to her by the devoted husband, son, and daughter-in-law. Sweetly patient in all of her sickness, even her most intimate friends never heard her complain. She was a faithful member of the Muir Presbyterian church. Besides her husband and son, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Everett Gardner, of Muir; Mrs. George Bennett, Mio; H. Felton Kendall, of Muir. The funeral services will be held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30, sun time.
