Hastings Reminder - Jan. 14, 1995


Clarksville – Bathea A. King, 85, of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, 
January 8, 1995 at the Lowell Medical Center.

She was born on March 16, 1909 in Boston Township, the daughter of Carl and 
Francis (Rolf) Story.

She graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids and married Norman 
E. King on June 15, 1937 in Grand Rapids. He preceded her in death on May 19, 
1975.

Mrs. King attended the Elmdale Church of the Nazarene.

She was also preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Dorothy Story.

Surviving are her children, Richard (Ruth Ann) King of Clarksville and Frances 
and Clifford Walling of Lowell; three grandchildren, Mindy and Nicholas Tyocki 
of East Lansing, Edward (Laura) Walling of Grand Rapids and Earl King of 
Clarksville; one great-granddaughter, Kelleith Nicolle Walling; two brothers, 
Maurice Story of Gowen and John (Joanne) Story of Northfield, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on 
Wednesday, January 18 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 1:30 p.m. at the 
Koops Funeral Chapel – Clarksville.

Burial in Bowne Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund of the Elmdale Church 
of the Nazarene.
