One of this city’s older residents Edwin King, passed away at his home at 621 
James street, Monday morning, August 1st, at the age of 90 years.  He had been 
ill about four months.

Mr. King was born in Pennsylvania on March 19, 1865.  At the age of eleven 
years he moved to Morley, Michigan.  Fifty-eight years ago he came to this 
city, and has resided here continuously since.  In 1885 he married Eliza 
McNikol, and she preceded him in death in December, 1947.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Marshal, of this city, a sister, Miss 
Nellie King, of Lakeview, one brother, Charley, of Amble, four grandchildren 
and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Huffman Funeral Home.  
Burial was in the Old Cemetery, in this city. Rev. H. S. Ellis officiated at 
the service.  Pall bearers were Warren Gardner, Martin Shannon, Wayne Brink, 
John Lynch, Donald Tuthill and Keith Cory.
