Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 Mar 1985

Gordon King, 43, of Manton, died Feb. 24 in a Cadillac hospital.  He was born
Nov. 30, 1941 in Ionia.  He married Joyce Wallace Feb. 5, 1960, and was employed
for several years at Saranac Universal Metals, before becoming disabled.

He is survived by five sons, Gordon of Manton, Elwin and Kenny of Ionia, and
Alan and LeRoy of Dayton, Ind.; three daughters, Catherine Michaels and Connie
King of Dayton, Ind., and Tammy King of Loughman, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
 Also surviving are his parents, Elwin and Velma King of Manton; one brother,
Gary King, of Manton; and several nieces and nephews.  A sister, Thelma,
preceded him in death.

Funeral services were Feb. 26 at Hall’s Funeral Chapel in Manton.  Burial will
be in the Tuttle Cemetery in Ionia.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
Michigan Heart Association.
