           CLOYD G. KING

   LAKE ODESSA - Cloyd G. King, 77, of 1126 Lakeview Drive, Lake Odessa died Monday
at Pennock hospital, 
Hastings.

   He was born October 12, 1901 at Henry County, Ohio, the son of George and Nellie
(Dirr) King.

   King moved to Lake Odessa from DeFiance, Ohio in 1953.  He served as deputy
sheriff of DeFiance County 
for eight years and was also a retired farmer.  From 1958 to j1966 he served as
chief of police of Lake 
Odessa.

   Surviving are his wife, Irene, three sons, Roger of Napoleon Ohio.  Fred of
DeFiance Ohio.  Rick of Lake 
Odessa, six grandchildren ad four great grandchildren.

   Funeral service will be at Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa on Thursday
at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Fred 
Bultman will officiate . Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.

   A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society and American
Heart Association 
and contributions may be left at the funeral home.

   The family will be at the funeral home to greet friends and relatives Tuesday and
Wednesday from 7 to 9 
p.m..
