Mrs. King had felt especially well during the forenoon and had given no sign of any ill health until the sudden attack. She had been in ill health for some time but had been up and doing something nearly all the time. Florence B. Brown was born October 27, 1874, at Delhi, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Joseph L. and Almira Brown. When she was ten years old she moved to Fort Erie, Canada, where she remained until she was 18 years old. She then moved to Buffalo where she met and married William Henry King in 1897. At his death in 1910, she moved to Wellsville, New York, and in a little more than ten years later she moved to Ionia to be with her daughter, Mrs. Henry T. MacDonough, and Mr. MacDonough, of 307 ˝ west Main street, where she spent the remainder of her life with the exception of two years spent with her sister in Valdosta, Ga. Mrs. King was an ardent and active member of the Congregational church in Wellsville and she was a member of almost all of that church’s societies. She was a great lover of music and was a member of the church choir. She also taught music in the primary department of the church at Wellsville. Last fall Mrs. King visited her birthplace in Canada and visited with old friends. Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Henry Macdonough, one grandson, William MacDonough, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Jewett, of Ionia. One sister, Josephine, died while a young girl.
