Evening. Leaves Wife, One Son, One Daughter, Two Step-Daughters, Two Sisters, One Brother. Funeral Friday P.M. William Kingman, who has been ill a long time, passed away Tuesday evening at his home on Tupper Lake street at the age of 72 years. Mr. Kingman was born in Benton township near Charlotte on February 20, 1870. He settled on a farm in Odessa in 1895 where he lived until coming to Lake Odessa in 1934. His first marriage was to Carrie Hulet who died in childbirth leaving a daughter now Mrs. Mabel Claflin at Jackson. In 1895, he was married to Mrs. Jennie Geddes who died April 19, 1929, leaving a son Paul and a daughter Miss Mildred Geddes. On January 6, 1930, he was married to Mrs. Ella Kart. He was a member of the local Methodist church, the Masonic lodge, and the Eastern Star, the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs, and the Townsend club. He was greatly respected and had many friends. He leaves besides the widow, one son Paul at Saratoga Springs, N.Y., one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Claflin at Jackson, two step-daughters Miss Mildred Geddes at Ypsilanti and Mrs. Bert Gilliland at Lake Odessa, two sisters Mrs. Daisy Goodnoe and Mrs. Stella Upright at Charlotte, a brother, H. J. in Battle Creek, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the Wortley & Baine chapel Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. ---- Will Kingman Funeral Was Largely Attended The Wortley & Baine chapel was filled with the relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Kingman for the funeral of Mr. Kingman Friday. The Rev. Edward H. Humphrey of Saranac, a close friend of the family officiated and the music was by Mrs. Virginia Yonkers and sister Mrs. Lawrence Wait. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery. Among those from out of town who were in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson of Port Huron and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cowels of Kalamazoo, grandchildren; Paul W. Kingman of Saratoga Springs, N. Y.; Miss Mildred Geddes of Ypsilanti; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Claflin and Mrs. Christeen O’Neal, Jackson. Mrs. Blanche Burns, Burlington, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Burt, mother and Marilyn and Bruce, Flint; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kingman, Battle Creek; Mrs. Bert Bunker, Mason; Wallace Ledyard and three daughters, Charlotte; Mr. and Mrs. John Burt and Mrs. Kenneth Burt, Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Livingston, Otsego; Mrs. Estella Upright, Charlotte, and son Floyd from a training camp in Mississippi. Mrs. Mary Gibson, Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. James Robbins, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Upright, Charlotte. Bearers were grandsons Karl, George, Wayne, Charles and Thomas Gilliland, and Ernest L.
