Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, March 27, 1968

A well known Ionia township resident, Burton M. Kingston, 73, died Tuesday at 
Osteopathic hospital in Grand Rapids where he had been a patient since march 
18.

Born January 23, 1895, in Ionia township, he was the son of John and Emma 
Kingston. June 12, 1917 he was married in Ionia to Esther Croel. He was a 
member and also deacon of First Christian church, also member of Farm Bureau 
and moderator of Badder school.

He leaves his wife Esther, one daughter, Mrs. Harold Rogers, route 2, two 
grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Young of route 4, Mrs. Carrie McCord of 
route 3.

Body will be at Stone Kauffman funeral home until Friday noon when he will be 
taken to First Christian church for funeral services at 2 p.m. Rev Theodore 
Forbes will officiate and burial will be in Balcom cemetery.

Memorial for First Christian church has been established.
