Patient Sufferer Given Relief By The Hand of Death.

John Kinsman passed away at the home, 528 Crooks avenue, Friday, March 9, at 
8:30 o’clock p.m., aged sixty-nine years and nineteen days.  For the past three 
years he has been an invalid from the effects of paralysis, having suffered 
three strokes, bur was able until recently to be helped to his chair and bed 
and sit up for a while during the day.  His mind began to fail as the paralysis 
extended and his passing away was peaceful.

The deceased was born in Mayfield, Fulton county, New York, February 18, 1848, 
and after his marriage to Mary King, November 29, 1865, they came to Lowell, 
Mich., and in 1872 moved near Stanton on a farm, coming to Belding in 1902, 
where they have since resided.  Ten children were born to them, six of whom are 
now living – Charles of Muskegon, Byron A. and E. Jay and Ivah L. of Belding, 
George of Greenville and Mrs. John King of Johnstown, New York.  He also leaves 
besides his faithful and loyal wife, who has cared for him in his affliction, 
eight grandchildren.

Mr. Kinsman was always a kind and thoughtful parent, and will be missed by the 
bereaved family.

The funeral was held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday at the Congregational church.  Rev. 
A. J. Blair officiated and Clayton Knapp and Mrs. Luther Berry sang.  The 
flowers from friends of the deceased and family were beautiful.  The interment 
was made in the River Ridge cemetery.

The children were all present except Mrs. King who was unable to reach here in 
time.
