Washington St., at six o’clock, Friday, January 15. She had been in ill health for more than a year and seriously ill only the past four days. Miss Kipp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kipp, Easton pioneers, was born in Easton township, June 4, 1873. Since the death of her mother in 1918 she had resided with her sisters, Mrs. Frank Snobble, South Ionia, and Mrs. Jennie Blackmore. They, with a niece, Miss Georgia Blackmore, are the only near relatives. Miss Kipp had been a member of the Church of Christ since early girlhood. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Paul L. Stewart Sunday afternoon from the Stebbins Funeral home. Burial was in the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery. ---- Miss Essie Kipp died at 6 o’clock Friday, January 15, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jennie Blackmore, West Washington street. Although she had not been in good health for some time, her death resulted unexpectedly from heart failure. Survivors are her two sisters, Mrs. Blackmore and Mrs. Priscilla Snobble, of South Ionia, and a niece, Georgia Blackmore. Miss Kipp was a member of the Church of Christ for nine years. Rev. Paul Stewart will conduct a private funeral, which will be held at the Stebbins funeral home Sunday afternoon, January 17, at 2:00 o’clock. Interment will be in the family lot at the Oak Hill cemetery. ---- Funeral services for Miss Essie Kipp were held Sunday afternoon, January 17, at 2 o‘clock from the Stebbins funeral home, with Rev. Paul Stewart officiating. Interment was in the family lot at the Oak Hill cemetery. There were many beautiful floral offerings from church organizations, relative and friends. Pallbearers were Edwin Marshall, George Almy, Ralph Smith, and Herbert Winslow. Relatives from out of town attending the services were Mrs. M. H. Kipp, Mr. and Mrs. John Kipp, of Carson City, and George Kipp of Detroit.
