Helen G. Kirby, 78, of Belding, formerly of Greenville, died Sunday, April 17,
2005, at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, Greenville.  She was
born near Palo in Ronald Township on May 29, 1926, the daughter of Eliot and
Kate Baxter Millard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kirby, in 1961; sister, Vannie
Rice; and infant daughters, Barbara Lynette and Vickie Sue.  She is survived by
her children, Robert and Yoko Ward of Belding, William and Diane Ward of
Canadian Lakes, Stanwood, Beckie and Dennis Cogswell of Sidney and Robin and
Gerald Kiste of Greenville; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several
great-great-grandchildren; sister, Merelene Staines of Utica; and cousin,
Lawrence Martin of Big Rapids.

Her family is opening their home at 9716 Fish Road, Belding, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Monday, April 25, to receive family and friends to celebrate the life of their
mother.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Kidney Foundation or the
American Heart Association.   Envelopes are available at Hurst Funeral Home,
Greenville, where the family is being served.
