Sentine-Standard - Saturday, Sept. 27, 1975

Mrs. Lydia Elizabeth Kirby, formerly of 522 State, Ionia, died late Friday 
afternoon at the Ionia Manor following an extended illness.

Born March 20, 1894, at Mountain View, Ark., she was the daughter of Samual and 
Nola Henderson. In 1910 she was married to Edward Kirby and she died January of 
1949.

She was a member of the Lyons Baptist church and the Ionia Senior citizens.

Survivors include three sons, Lawrence Kirby of Muir, Royal of Ionia and Ernest 
of Lyons; seven daughters, Mrs. Ethel King of Charlotte, Mrs. Mabel Hunt of 
Lansing, Mrs. Marjorie Shepley of Florida, Mrs. Blanche Bredice of Ionia, Mrs. 
Ruth Witherall of Lowell, Mrs. Josephine Sheldon of Greenville and Mrs. Pauline 
Adair of Ionia; 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Hubert 
Henderson of Mountain View, Ark. 

Services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at the Lyons Baptist church. Rev. Richard 
Harrison will officiate and interment will be at the Balcom cemetery.

Until noon Tuesday the body will be at the Hull Memorial chapel in Muir.
