MARILYN KAYE KIRBY 1943-2016
Marilyn Kaye Kirby, 72, of Ionia passed away May 3, 2016 in Ionia. She was born 
July 26, 1943 in North Plains Twp., the daughter of Henry and Zella (Martin) 
Bennett.

Marilyn married James Weston Kirby in 1972. He preceded her in death in 1979. 
She graduated from Lyons High school class of 1961.  She was an avid Bingo 
player and enjoyed Karaoke.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Scott Heald of Ionia, Angela Strickland of 
Georgia, Martin (Wendy) Kirby of Battle creek and Dustin Kirby of Iowa; 
brothers, Ronald Bennett of Muir and Gary (Edith) Bennett of Muir; 
grandchildren, Eric (Tracilyn) Weiler, Brianna Kirby and Mya Kirby; great 
grandchildren, Jasmien Weiler and Amber Weiler; special friends Mary Vernon and 
Corey Ingvartsen and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 6 at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment East Plains Cemetery. Visitation 
will be Friday 11 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home. Memorial
