The Ionia Standard, Friday, October 19, 1917
The funeral for Mrs. Fred Kirby was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock 
fast time at the North Plains church, Rev. Cargill, assisted by Rev. Crawford 
of Palo, conducting the service.  Mrs. Kirby died Monday afternoon at the age 
of 67 years.  She left her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Soper.  Her 
whole life was spent here, as she was born on the same farm where she died.
