He had been called out and returned at about three o’clock with his radiator frozen. He closed the doors of his garage and threw a blanket over the radiator and started the motor. It is thought he went to sleep. He was found by his helper when he came to work at 8 o’clock Saturday morning. Mr. Kirby was 30 yeas of age and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kirby of Saranac. He is survived by a widow and three children, Yvonne aged 5, Isabelle 3, and Jack 1 year old. He also leaves one brother Elzy Kirby of Lansing and a sister Mrs. Muriel Peck of Saranac. Funeral services for Mr. Kirby were held from the home of his parents last Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. Willard Butler officiating. The pall bearers were Stanley Ayers, Lee Haskins, Paul Cahoon, John and Max Adgate and Ward Courter. Interment was in Saranac cemetery.
