The Portland Review, Thursday, April 26, 1962


The Rev. Kenneth Matheny of Maple Rapids Methodist Church officiated at 
services Saturday afternoon at Neller Funeral Home for Lestus Kirkham, 53, who 
passed away at a Lansing hospital April 18.

Mr. Kirkham had been employed at Tom Keusch Service station…(portion illegible)…
an auto mechanic in Portland for many years.

Surviving are the wife, Jean; a daughter Mrs. Mary Blemaster of Maple Rapids 
and a son, Howard, of Oldsmar, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. 
Agnes Ward of Portland.

Burial was in Danby cemetery, and bearers were Carl Smith, Elwin Stead, Hope 
Durkee, Thomas Keusch, Maurice Vroman and Albert Mulder.
