Jan. 5, 2016 Excerpts from Obituary: DOROTHY LUCILLE (WILCOX) KISSANE of Portland Died Sunday, January 3, 2016-age 96 Born April 16, 1919 daughter of Harry and Myrtle (Martin) Wilcox. Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and VFW Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary. Worked at Wilcox-Gay Television Co., covering TV boxes with leather frames with special tools. Also worked at Ionia Manufacturing Co. where she sewed tarps onto Army jeeps. Retired from Fisher Body in Lansing after 28 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Francis Leo Kissane; son James, great-grandson Zachary Clark; siblings Earnest, Howard, Ivan, & Harold Wilcox; Helen Melstead, Ethlyn Feehan, Leta Winkerinck, and Frances Adams. Survived by her 6 children; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, 6 great- great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal to follow at Portland Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lehman funeral Home, Portland. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or to the Fr. Flohe Association in memory of Dorothy.
