Hugh A. Kitson, 80, died Wednesday in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he was 
visiting.

A resident of Sanger, Calif., since 1975, he was formerly superintendent of 
schools in Armada, Woodland and Herrisville.

He was born July 21, 1898 in Milford, Ind., and graduated from Michigan State 
University in 1921. Later he received a mater's degree from Northwestern 
University.

He was married in 1922 to the late Florence Miller in Cedar Springs. She died 
in 1967. A former Vickeryville and Palo resident, she is buried in Palo 
cemetery. 

He married the former Florence Everett in 1975. She survives him.

Funeral services will be held from the Tiffany-Young Funeral home in Armada, 
Sunday at 3 p.m.

Burial, with graveside services, will be in Palo cemetery Monday at 1 p.m.
