Ionia Sentinel, 2 Mar 1961

Ross J. Kittle, 46, of 2800 North Cambridge road, Lansing, died at his home 
Monday morning after a long illness.  Mr. Kittle had been a resident of Lansing 
the past four years and formerly lived in Portland.

He was manager of the Portland works, Thompson Ramo Wooldridge, Inc., attended 
Wayne State university and the University of Michigan.  He was president of the 
Portland Kiwanis club in 1960, member of board of directors of Portland Chamber 
of Commerce, attended the First Church of Christ Scientist; member of 
Birmingham lodge F&AM, 44, Chapter 9 RAM and Lansing Commandery No. 25.  He was 
an active member of the Lansing Country club, City club and member of the SAE.

Mr. Kittle is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Mrs. Kay V. Bills, 
and Joan I. Kittle, and two grandchildren, all of Lansing; his mother, Mrs. 
Florence I. Chappel; stepfather, Henry N. Chappel of Detroit, and brother, 
Kenneth W. of Birmingham.

Active bearers for the funeral were Ray McPeak, Max Hinds, Joseph Burkheiser, 
Carl Hertwig, Frank Fisherk, Jr., and George Frye, Honorary bearers were 
Charles Ohly, Jack Gates, James Booth, John Drake, Donald Huey, William Angst, 
Barney Ricks, Robert Ly?ays and William Taylor.

Stannard Baker read the Christian Science service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the 
Estes-Ledley ?? funeral chapel in Lansing and interment at the Aca??a cemetery 
in Birmingham at 2 p.m. with Birmingham Lodge F&AM No. 44 giving the service 
and the Lansing Commandery No. 25 acting as escort.
