Geraldine M. Klahn, aged 99, of Lake Odessa, passed away Tuesday morning, July 
19, 2005.  Geraldine was born in Woodland on July 10, 1906 to Frank and Anna 
(Becker) Reiser.  Geraldine graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1924 and 
was married to Ernest Klahn on December 17, 1927.  She had spent most of her 
life in the Lake Odessa area.  Geraldine had a wonderful sense of humor and a 
wide circle of friends in all age groups.  She had been a diligent Red Cross 
volunteer and a faithful life time member of the First Congregational Church of 
Lake Odessa.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Barbara and Richard Graeff of Byron 
Center; grandson, Gary Graeff of Grandville; great-grandchildren, Carrie, 
Justin and Alex Graeff; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Klahn; and grandson, David 
Graeff.  The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 22 at the 
Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, with visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m. 
prior to the service on Friday.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.  The 
family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the First 
Congregational Church of Lake Odessa, or Heartland Hospice.
