Klahn South Boston Resident Dies at 65. South Boston – Funeral services for Myrtle M. Klahn, 65, were held Saturday, February 18. Burial was in the South Boston cemetery. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Granville Nye and was born June 22, 1873 in Carlton township of Barry county. She died February 15, 1939 in Blodgett hospital of Grand Rapids. On January 27, 1892 she was married to Charles Klahn. Three children were born to this marriage, Nellie, Mildred and Laverne. Mr. Klahn died 14 years ago. She has since resided with her two daughters. As a member of the Congregational church, she was true to her faith to the end. Surviving the deceased are one son, Lavern; two daughters, Nellie and Mildred; two sisters, Cora Curtis of Royal Oak and Letha Shumway of Lake Odessa; one brother, Alton Nye of Lake Odessa and one step-brother, Floyd Myers of Blanchard. Rev. Frederick Williams was the minister. Pall bearers were Nelson O’Beirne, Clayton Schwab, William Young, Fred Broadbent, Will Johnson and Howard Bartlett.
