Mrs. Klahn was taken much worse shortly after Christmas. Her two children, Mrs. Walter Weiland of Lowell and Bert Klahn, left some time ago for Florida and Mrs. And Mrs. George Klahn had planned to go shortly to join them for the remainder of the winter. The day after Mrs. Weiland and Mr. Klahn left their mother was taken worse and they were called from St. Petersburgh a short time ago. They were expected early Friday morning, but had not arrived in Grand Rapids at noon. Mrs. Klahn, who before her marriage was Miss Anna Lawyer, was born three miles south of Lowell on the old Lawyer homestead. She was always active in affairs of the importance in the farming community in which she lived. Besides he husband and two children she is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Edward Lane and Mrs. Emerson Henderleiter, of Lake Odessa; Mrs. E.W. English, of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. E. O’Harrow, of Alto, and Mrs. George Hazel, of Lowell. It is expected that the funeral arrangements will not be made until the children arrive home. Relatives of the family do not expect that the funeral would be held before the first of next week.
