Father has gone to a happier land But he left a memory dear. Of loving thoughts and kindly deeds While he trod the road with us here. Oh the Savior knew of the miles he had walked. And how weary grew the feet. So he called him home to rest in peace Where he waits the rest to greet. No more of life’s sorrow and toil and care Just life in the Saviour’s love May we live our lives so that when we are called We may join the dear ones above.
