Lowell Ledger, 13 Jun 1946

George T. Klahn was born September 3, 1864 at New Dundee, Canada, and passed
away at Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids, June 5, at the age of 81 years, 9
months and 2 days.  He was united in marriage to Alice Lawyer, March 19, 1891. 
Mrs. Klahn passed away in 1927.  He leaves to mourn their loss one son, Bert;
one daughter, Mrs. May Wieland, both of Elmdale; three brothers, Fred Klahn of
Fullerton, Calif., Henry Klahn and Will Klahn, both of Alto; one sister, Mrs.
Elizabeth Averill of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews and a host of
friends.  Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, at 3:30 p.m. from the
Roth Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Williams of Baroda officiating.  Interment was
in South Boston cemetery.  Mr. Klahn was a loving father and a sincere neighbor
and friend to all who knew him.
