Klapp, Once Proprietor of Three Eating Places in Lake Odessa, Passes. Funeral Wednesday. John G. Klapp passed away at his home in Lansing, Sunday, leaving his wife, a daughter Mrs. Stewart Byle of Lansing and a son John W. Klapp of Tampa, Fla. He was a life member of the Grand River lodge F. and A.M. of Grand Rapids. The Klapp family were residents of Lake Odessa about three years. They first purchased the Wenona pavilion at the lake now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Alton Rathburn, then sold that, and purchased the Coffee Kitchen which they sold to Mrs. Mina Perkins, the present owner, then they purchased the north end hotel now owned by Frank Senters. The funeral of Mr. Klapp was held Wednesday and burial was in Lansing.
