Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jan 1989

Stephen J. Klein, 62, of 145 South State, Pewamo, died May 28 in Ionia.  Born 
Feb. 16, 1927, he was the son of Joseph and Clara Fedewa Klein.

An avid outdoorsman, he was also a farmer, and a member of St. Joseph’s Church, 
Pewamo.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Mark and John, both of Pewamo; and a 
sister, Rose Dase of Lansing.  Three brothers and a sister preceded him in 
death.

Rosary was said Monday at 3 and 8 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. 
at St. Joseph’s Church, the Rev. Isidro Gargantiel celebrant.  Burial will be 
in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Joseph Bower, John Cotter, Herbert 
Werner, Bruce George, Phillip Kramer and Kenneth Miller.  Arrangements by 
Neller Funeral Home, Portland.
